MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR

STEVE EDWARDS

Steve Edwards is a Master Dance Instructor, choreographer, World Champion, and creator of the Circular Track Method®. For more than 30 years, he has dedicated his career to helping people become confident, connected dancers—from first-time social dancers to World Champions and fellow dance instructors. Specializing in West Coast Swing, Two Step, Night Club Two, Waltz, East Coast Swing, and Cha Cha, Steve’s teaching goes beyond memorizing patterns. Through the Circular Track Method®, he helps dancers understand the underlying principles of alignment, balance, awareness, role responsibility, and physical connection that create confident, natural movement in partnership. Whether you’re taking your first lesson, preparing for a wedding, pursuing competition, or becoming a better instructor, Steve’s mission is simple: to help you move with clarity, confidence, and joy. The Full Story I’ve been teaching partner dancing for more than three decades, and helping people discover the joy of dancing has always been the heart of my career. I began as a professional instructor with Arthur Murray Studios, where I became a certified Dance Specialist in ballroom, country, swing, and Latin dance. Throughout my career, I’ve taught thousands of students—from complete beginners taking their very first steps to advanced competitors and dance instructors refining their craft. For most of my career, I taught on the UCWDC Pro-Am circuit, coaching dancers from Beginner through Advanced divisions and helping numerous students earn World Championship titles. During that same time, I also competed professionally, earning a World Championship and achieving Master Level status in the UCWDC. Those years of teaching and competition continually reinforced a simple truth: great partner dancing isn’t built on memorizing more patterns. It’s built on understanding movement, partnership, and the principles that make both work. That conviction led me to develop the Circular Track Method®—a partner dance training system that teaches dancers through alignment, balance, awareness, role responsibility, and physical connection rather than memorized patterns alone. Drawing from decades of teaching, partner dancing, martial arts principles, body mechanics, athletic movement, and spatial awareness, the method trains leaders and followers to understand not only what to do, but why it works. Today I specialize in West Coast Swing, Two Step, Night Club Two, Waltz, East Coast Swing, and Cha Cha. I teach social dancers who simply want to enjoy an evening on the dance floor, coach competitors pursuing excellence, train dance instructors, and choreograph for weddings and special performances. No matter the setting or the student’s experience, my purpose remains the same: helping people move with greater clarity, confidence, and connection. I believe dancing should never feel intimidating. It should feel natural. It should create connection. It should teach us to move well with another person. Whether you’re stepping onto the dance floor for the very first time or refining skills you’ve spent years developing, my goal is to give you the understanding, confidence, and foundation to enjoy dancing for a lifetime.

Private Coaching Package

Why Private Coaching?

Couples dancing isn’t just movement—it’s about connection, confidence, and communication. My teaching method makes learning easy and stress-free, breaking things down in a way that’s simple and enjoyable. Whether you’re dancing for fun or wanting to truly master the skill, private coaching gives you the individual attention needed to progress quickly.

My Approach

Dancing should be simple, fun, and rewarding. My teaching method focuses on clear, easy-to-understand techniques that help students build confidence, enjoy the learning process, and develop skills that feel natural on the dance floor.

Flexible Scheduling

- Multiple Sessions Per Visit -

To help you progress faster and make the most of your time, you don’t have to come to the studio multiple days a week if you prefer not to. You can schedule back-to-back sessions in one visit—for example, take two or even three sessions in a single trip

(each session is 45 minutes).

This option is great for:

Busy schedules – Fewer trips while still getting the full benefit of private coaching.

Faster progress – Longer practice time in one visit helps reinforce skills more effectively.

Better retention – More time in a session allows for smoother transitions from learning to execution.

This package is designed with flexibility in mind, so you can customize your schedule in a way that works best for you. Let’s find a plan that fits your lifestyle while keeping learning simple and enjoyable!
